Mail Program
Mail-Based Program
Bringing Books to Students’ Doorsteps
Students can receive new books in over 30 languages by mail, fostering strong home literacy engagement while keeping families effortlessly involved. BookLoop uses a text-based system to communicate with family members about delivery information, reading tips, and to answer any questions.
How it works:
Books Get Delivered
BookLoop provides four to six books in a reusable envelope with a prepaid shipping label. No shipping cost, no trips to the bookstore.
Reading Happens at Home
Each book is theirs to borrow and read at home, supporting reading beyond the classroom walls.
Return, Reuse, and Repeat
Once finished, books are returned by mail using a pre-paid envelope. New books are on the way to keep the reading loop going!
Students Stay Engaged
A comment card is included in every delivery, allowing students to write, in their own words and handwriting, what they liked and didn’t like. Plus, BookLoop staff always write back, striking up a conversation via written word.
Timeline
This program can be operated all year round, but it usually runs in the summertime when kids are out of school.
How It Is Funded
